  • Price. There’s no need to save money on the alternator because cheap analogs are made of low-quality materials.

  • Check for complete documentation for the alternator and warranty card.

Replacing an alternator

  1. A set of tools, needed for removing and installing the alternator: pneumatic crank (or ratchet) at 14mm and 12mm, wrench at 10mm and 19mm, ratchet at 10mm.

  2. Disconnect 2007 Toyota Camry alternator from battery power and disconnect the negative cable with a 10mm wrench.

  3. Next, you need to remove the drive belt, to do this you need to loosen the tension on the bolt that is on the left side of the alternator above the pulley. Use a 19mm ratchet set at a 45-degree angle. Make a clockwise turn to the front of the radiator, this will loosen the tension and you can remove the belt.

  4. The next step is to disconnect all the cables. At the front of the alternator is the nut that secures the wires. But before you unscrew it, you need to pull out the two plugs (remember the original connectors of each), they are next to each other. Now you can unscrew the nut with a 10mm wrench.

  5. Now, all that's left is the 14mm and 12mm bolts, which are on the left and bottom of the alternator, respectively. You can get them out with a pneumatic unscrew or a ratchet (but the process will take longer).

  6. Next, you can take out the 2007 Toyota Camry alternator and put a new one in its place.

  7. Begin to attach the bolts 14mm and 12mm. Start screwing them in a few turns by hand, when the alternator "stood" in its place - use a tool.

  8. Attach the alternator wires with a ratchet nut for 10. Attach the plugs - each in its place.

  9. Put the belt back on and create tension by tightening the 19mm bolt.

  10.  Attach the negative battery cable.

  11. Try the new 2007 Toyota Camry alternator.
